DETAILED TOUR PLAN

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bukavu Town for Overnight

On arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be met by one of our Safari Guide who will transfer you by road to Bukavu town in Congo. During the journey you will have a lunch stop and as well as scenic views of Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills, the green carpets of tea plantations, and to appreciate the rural countryside. At the Congo –Rwanda boarder of Cyangugu you will make immigrations clearances and head to Bukavu town arriving late in the afternoon for your check into your hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park

You will have an early breakfast and drive to the Park Headquarters of Kahuzi-Beiga National Park for a briefing from the park officials on the dos and don’ts of your Congo lowland Gorilla trek adventure. You will be allocated a Gorilla Family to track and here you will join guides and expert trackers to lead you in finding the Gorillas, take advantage of an astounding biodiversity and the world’s highest concentration of western lowland gorillas. Upon sighting the Gorillas,  you will be allowed to stay with them for one hour during which you will experience the awesome experience of watching these gentle giants feed, play and care for their young. After your trek, return to the Park Headquarters where you will meet with your driver to transfer back to the Hotel / Lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali Town for Flight Home

An early Breakfast, we will drive back to the border for immigration clearing and cross into Rwanda to transfer back to Kigali City for your outbound flight Home or transfer to Hotel in Kigali Town. This 7 Hours Journey takes you through Nyungwe Forest en route and you will also be able to have a stop at the Nyanza King’s Palace and Butare National Museum.

END OF SAFARI!

NB: Not that your Rwanda Visa Expires immediately you cross into Congo so you will have to reapply for another Visa while at the border and find it ready after the Tour.
