DAY 1: Airport pick up and transfer to Hotel
On arrival at the international airport in Arusha, You will be met by our MuAfrika Adventures representative who will transfer you to a hotel in Arusha Town for Check-in and overnight stay at Impala hotel / Liboru safari lodge

DAY 2: Transfer from Arusha – Lake Manyara national park
After your morning breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara national park where you will first meet the mto wa mbu community which is an assorted ethnic concentration of people that belong to all the 120 different tribes of Tanzania live together. This exciting walk will give you an opportunity to interact with the local people and learn more about their foodstuffs and their preparation, architectural designs and famous wood carvings, Later proceed to Lake Manyara National Park arriving on time for lunch. In the afternoon you head to the park for a game drive experience with possibilities of viewing Lake Manyara’s unique tree climbing lions, elephants, baboons, impalas among others as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. DAY 3: Transfer from Lake Manyara – Serengeti national park
After your morning breakfast, we drive to Serengeti National Park which is one of the popular wildlife destination with over a million wildebeest, hundreds of zebras, honey badger and counts of Nile crocodiles passing through the endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as eyes can see heading to seronera area in Serengeti national park for an extensive wild game viewing experience. Arrive on time for your lunch. Later enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Transfer from Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro crater
After a morning breakfast, you can choose to glide in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti plains while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of the park across the rivers and over lavish small villages. Later depart for Ngorongoro conservation Area exploring the beautiful countryside making a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with the history of discovering the early man skull by Dr. Mary Leaky. Later arrive on time for lunch and check in at the lodge. Later in the afternoon we incline into the crater to view wildlife like lions, black rhinos, buffalos, elands, warthogs and so many more. DAY 5: Transfer from Ngorongoro crater – Arusha Town
After your morning breakfast set off from Ngorongoro and transfer to Arusha town. Reach the town early evening. Depending on the time you can choose to do a city tour around Arusha town visiting the market and the museums. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: Fly from Arusha to Rwanda and drive into Uganda
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Kigali international airport in Rwanda the land of a thousand hills. In Kigali you will meet a safari guide from MuAfrika Adventures who will transfer you to Uganda driving through the impressive hillside landscapes of Rwanda. Clear with the Immigrations and cross the border into Uganda proceeding Southwestern part of the Country arriving late evening for your check into the booked lodge. DAY 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Following your morning breakfast at the lodge, drive to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by park rangers about gorilla trekking before commencing to the gorilla sanctuary, 7:30am Start Gorilla trekking; the ranger-guide takes you through the huge Bwindi Forest as you search for the giant apes. The venture of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is awesome and thrilling experience to be long relished but tiresome. Return to the lodge for lunch and resting, afternoon take a community walk to the Community village which gives you an opportunity to see how the people surrounding the park have survived for the generation living near the great forest. Later transfer back to the Lodge for dinner and Overnight as above.

DAY 8: Transfer from Bwindi Forest – Queen Elizabeth national park
After you Breakfast, we depart by road for Queen Elizabeth national park through the Park’s Famous tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector, we will arrive in the afternoon on time for a Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel with the views of wild animals that come to cool off at the channel shores like elephants, buffalos, Nile crocodiles and so many others. From the boat you connect to your lodge for Check in, dinner and overnight at:

DAY 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park –morning game drive and a transfer to Kibale national park
After your breakfast set off for a game drive in the kasenyi plains one of the popular wild game viewing sectors of the Park with sights of animals like elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, leopard, topis among others. The experience lasts for close to 3-4 hours. Later depart for Kibale national park with a stop in Fort portal town for your Lunch, in the evening take a Community tour of Bigodi community to interact with the locals. DAY 10: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National park – Departure
After breakfast, Report to the park headquarters for a briefing and then head into the jungles of Kibale National Park’s Rain forest for an amazing and rewarding Experience for trekking Chimpanzees. You will also be able to explore the Jungle, Swamps as well as the grassland around the Forest. As you search for the Chimps look out for other forest animals such as Elephants, buffalos, Huge Forest Hogs plus a variety of bird species, Butter flies as well as different tree species. Later after our Chimpanzee Experience we drive to Fort portal for Lunch and depart for Kampala exploring the countryside landscapes marked by swanky flora and extensive tea plantations as you proceed to Kampala arrive in the evening. Transfer to the airport for home bound flight.

While on a Safari always be sure to have all your belongings before checking out of the Accommodations to avoid losing things that may be important to you.
Our Safaris involve a lot of travelling on main Tarmac and Dirt Roads thus transport is provided in closed 4X4 Wheel drive Toyota Land Cruisers for all luxury Tours and the standard 4×4 Wheel drive Safari mini – vans for all Midrange Safaris. All Vehicles are provided with pop- top roofs for easy and excellent safari viewing. All passengers will have a dedicated window seat. Your professional English speaking and courteous driver / guide will be at your disposal for questions or translations.
For fly-in safaris, a combination of light aircraft and small planes ranging in size from Cessna 206’s to Cessna Grand Caravans and Charters but luggage is restricted. This is also Combined with the use of closed 4×4 Wheel Drive Vehicles with pop-top roofs that pick you up from the Airfields since they are located far away from the National Parks and Lodges that are usually in remote areas and this may involve some travelling on main tarmac or dirt Roads to reach the final destinations.
Gorilla trekking points to Note: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, Trails are steeper and less accessible, hence high levels of Energy is needed. Treks are often 2 to 3 hours each way (but can be more Or Less) and involve hiking through dense forest and traversing steep ravines and mountainsides, often in damp conditions. However, all this adventure is worthwhile for a glimpse of one of nature’s finest spectacles. There is a minimum age of 15 years on gorilla treks
What to wear and bring with you on your gorilla trek: With changeable weather conditions and dense forest vegetation it is advisable to take layers of protective clothing. We recommend wearing the following:
- long-sleeved top
- warm fleece / jumper
- thick trousers
- thick wool socks (and gaiters preferably)
- strong lightweight, water-proof walking boots
- hat with brim
- garden gloves to aid scrambling up banks
And carry a small rucksack with:
- packed lunch and snacks
- camera / video camera with spare battery, memory cards or film
- light-weight rain Mac / poncho
Walking sticks are available at the Park headquarters and porters can be
hired for approx. US$20.
A sealed plastic bag around camera / lenses will help keep them dry on the
trek. Pockets are useful for valuables and spare camera batteries / lenses etc.
as all other equipment must be left with porters approx. 200 meters away
from the gorilla groups.
What to bring with you for a wildlife safari
- Rain Jacket is essential as it could unpredictably Rain
- Light Clothes as the sun does shine pretty bright in the National Parks
- Torch is essential for safety purposes
- Sunglasses to protect you from direct sun rays
- A zoom lense Camera for photographs
- A good insect repellent to keep those persistent Insects and Mosquitoes away.
NB: It is not a Guarantee to see all the Various Animals in the Parks especially Cats but there is a great chance that you might see them during an Evening or Early Morning Game drive because it is less hot around that time and therefore the animals are freely roaming around as opposed to typical afternoon hours when it gets too hot for the animals and they go under taking cover from the sun.
