DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: Arrival at the Airport and Transfer to Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Town.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, You will be met by our driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for your overnight stay.

DAY 2: Murchison Falls National Park with an Enroute Stop at the Rhino Sanctuary Zziwa.
Our safari guide will pick you up from your Hotel in the Morning at about 7:00 am and you will depart by Road for Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking. You will enjoy Lunch here, Proceed to the Murchison Falls National Park arriving on time for Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge or Camp.

DAY 3: Game drive – Launch Cruise along the Nile River
A very early morning rise to go for your Game drive in search of predators and early risers on the Northern bank of the Nile. You may have a chance to see game like hyenas, giraffes, lions, birds, Hartebeests, buffalos, elephants, primates and others as well as different species of Birds. After the game drive return to the Lodge or camp for lunch. In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of birds along the water banks. Dinner and overnight as above

DAY 4: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park – Fort Portal Town.
During the drive to Fort portal, pass through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads as you enjoy views of Tea Plantations and farms. You will have Lunch Enroute. Later on arrival in Fort portal Town, you will transfer to your Hotel / Camp for your Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 5: Transfer from Fort portal to Semuliki National Park – (trek hot springs & pygmies’ village), Craters Lakes – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After morning breakfast, we drive to Semuliki National Park, one of the newest National Parks in Uganda with an area rich in both Flora and Fauna with Great Views, Forest Walks, Bird viewing and Hot springs. Enjoy your Lunch and Later in the Evening return to Fort portal proceeding to Kibale forest National Park on your way enjoy views of grey-cheeked Mangabey Blues, Red-Colobus, Red-tailed and phoestes swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on both primates and on all the forest’s fauna and flora. After this long Day’s Activities, you will arrive at your Hotel on time to Freshen Up and for your Dinner and Overnight at Lodge / Camp.

DAY 6: Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Tracking – Afternoon Bigodi Community Walk.
In the morning, after an Energetic breakfast, report to the ranger station at about 08.00 am to track familiarized chimpanzees. The search for these chimpanzees and other primates will include not only Chimps but also the Grey-Throated Flycatcher, Masked & Black-Capped Apalis’, Chestnut-Winged Starling, Orange -Tufted & Tiny Sunbirds and many other Birds, Butter Flies and other Forest Flora and Fauna.
Later this Afternoon Depending on your Energy Levels, take a Community Walk to Bigodi Village for an altogether and absolutely different walk. Gone along with by a guide who will tell you the whole lot concerning the traditional ethnicity and standard of living of the populace, you will follow the village path and visit a primary school, Catholic Church, traditional homesteads, learn about the crops and listen to the storytelling of an (elderly man). This walk is an initiative of the inhabitants of Bigodi Village and the revenues are shared by the community. Return to Lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Lodge /Camp.

DAY 7: Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park Enroute visit the Katwe Salt Lake Fishing Village.
After your morning breakfast, drive to the Katwe Salt Lake which is bordering Queen Elizabeth National Park. This unusual lake is far too salty to support any wildlife – though since the 16th Century it has ensured the survival of the Katwe villagers, who spend their days under the equatorial sun, harvesting salt from its milky waters. Unique networks of paths and huts have been built across the lake to support hundreds of workers, as selling the rock and table salt to traders from across Uganda, and as far as Congo and Rwanda, Salt selling is the main source of income for the community.
This tour gives visitors a unique insight into the fascinating yet tough process of salt mining, as well as provides an alternative income for Katwe. During the tour of the lake, you will see community members at work, cross the mud walkways and enter one of the traditional grass huts, used to shelter and store tools. Later proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival in the Park Transfer to Lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Lodge / Camp.

DAY 8: Game Drive – Launch Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Wake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park tracks for a game drive to be able to see predators as they return to their hideouts and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch and later transfer for your afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Through Ishasha Sector to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
A morning Breakfast we drive through the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park Enjoying a Game drive Enroute, for another Game drive, On Arrival in Ishasha, enjoy your Lunch at Savannah Resort later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest prior to your Next Day’s Gorilla Tracking Adventure. Dinner and Overnight at Lodge / Camp.

DAY 10: Bwindi Gorilla National Park – Gorilla Tracking Tour and Village / Community Walk.
In the morning after breakfast and with your packed lunch box, you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of the guide before starting on this lifetime adventure, After Registration and briefing start on the adventure at about 8:00 am. Time taken while tracking gorillas range from a few hours to a whole day depending on the movement of these gentle giants as well as the Group that you have been allocated, On finding the Gorillas you will have an hour while with them after you have enjoyed this time, taking photographs you will be directed and will trace back to your starting point thereafter will meet your guide who will transfer you back to your Lodge for an afternoon to relax. Or If you still have the Energy we take a village Walk tour where you will be able to meet the communities doing their community work, visit the medicine men, the local breweries, it’s highly recommended that when you visit the park for Gorilla tracking take time to visit and support these local communities because these people need to be supported in all kinds possible to help in conserving the forest. Return to Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Island – Boat ride on the lake to other Islands.
This Morning after breakfast, we drive to Lake Bunyonyi, we arrive at the Island on time for our Lunch. Lake Bunyonyi is about 20kms long and 7kms wide with a depth of about 900m, making it the second deepest lake in Africa, this deep lake is surrounded by heavily terraced hillsides, the lake has over 29 islands including the Punishment, Bushara, Bwama and Njuyeera (Sharp’s Island), ucuranuka – Upside Down among others. As its name suggests, Lake Bunyonyi, ‘Bunyonyi” actually means small/little birds, thus being called the lake for little birds; there are several bird species that have already been identified in the area. We enjoy a boat ride around different islands, enjoying the scenic view of the terraced hills, spotting the birds, after this boat ride, we continue hiking up the Hills that surround the Lake. We later return for the Evening to relax at the Resort / Camp.

DAY 12: Lake Bunyonyi Island – Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive takes you through scenic views on the way all through.
You will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch before making the final descent to Lake Mburo National Park.
Upon arrival in Lake Mburo National Park and check-in at your accommodation, you will have an Afternoon Game drive.
This park is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Finfoot, Papyrus, Bush-Shrike. Retire for the evening to your accommodation for Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge / Camp.

DAY 13: Morning Game drive, Boat Ride on the Lake Mburo
An early morning breakfast, we will explore the park with a Game drive in search of animals like zebras, Impalas, Topis, Elands and Others. Excellent Bird watching Opportunities with over 313 bird species recorded including the rare Shoebill stork, white-winged warbler, Crested Francolin and many others. You will return to your Lodge for Lunch and an Afternoon Boat Ride on the Lake Mburo giving you a chance to view water Animals like Crocodiles, Hippopotamus and water birds like the Fish eagle, Pelicans, Black Crake, Heron, Cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Later return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 14: Walking Safari – Transfer back to Kampala.
Leisurely breakfast and Set off for an awesome Nature walking Safari in the park, here you have a chance to go on a guided walk through the park and you will be close enough to most of the animals like giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, impalas and many other mammals. Lots of bird species are also spotted on this walk.
Later transfer back to Kampala with a stop at the Equator for Photography and Lunch Enroute. Arrival in Kampala we proceed to your Hotel / Lodge for Overnight at your lodge

DAY 15: Kampala City Tour – Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your Flight
Leisurely Breakfast, Our driver guide will pick you up for a City Tour of Kampala. This Tour can either be done on foot as you walk through the City or on the Back of a Motorbike Roller-coaster or in a Car, While on this Tour you will get to see Kampala’s Historical, Cultural and religious sites, Markets as well as the Monuments – Later transfer to the Airport for your departure Flight Home. End of your 15 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari Gorilla Trekking & Chimpanzee Tracking tour.

Gorilla Tracking Points to Note: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda), Trails are steeper and less accessible hence high levels of Energy is needed.
Treks are often 2 to 3 hours each way (but can be more Or Less) and involve hiking through dense forest and traversing steep ravines and mountainsides, often in damp conditions. However, all this adventure is worthwhile for a glimpse of one of nature’s finest spectacles.
There is a minimum age of 15 years on gorilla treks
What to wear and bring with you on your gorilla trek: With changeable weather conditions and dense forest vegetation, it is advisable to take layers of protective clothing. We recommend wearing the following:
- t-shirt
- long-sleeved top
- warm fleece/jumper
- thick trousers
- thick wool socks (and gaiters preferably)
- strong lightweight, waterproof walking boots
- hat with brim
- garden gloves to aid scrambling up banks
And carry a small rucksack with:
- water
- packed lunch and snacks
- binoculars
- camera/video camera with spare battery, memory cards or film
- light-weight rain Mac / poncho
Walking sticks are available at the Park headquarters and porters can be hired for approx. US$20. A sealed plastic bag around the camera/lenses will help keep them dry on the trek. Pockets are useful for valuables and spare camera batteries/lenses etc. as all other equipment must be left with porters approx. 200 meters away from the gorilla groups.
What to bring with you for a wildlife safari
- Rain Jacket is essential as it could unpredictably Rain
- Light Clothes as the sun does shine pretty bright in Murchison falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks
- Torch is essential for safety purposes
- Sunglasses to protect you from direct sun rays
- A zoom lens Camera for photographs
- A good insect repellent to keep those persistent Insects and Mosquitoes away.
NB: It is not a Guarantee to see all the Various Animals in the Parks, especially Cats but there is a great chance that you might see them during an Evening or Early Morning Game drive because it is less hot around that time and therefore the animals are freely roaming around as opposed to typical afternoon hours when it gets too hot for the animals and they go undertaking cover from the sun.

Transport: Our Safaris involve a lot of travelling on main Tarmac and Dirt Roads thus transport is provided in closed 4X4 Wheel drive Toyota Land Cruisers for all luxury Tours and the standard 4×4 Wheel drive Safari minivans for all Midrange Safaris. All Vehicles are provided with pop-top roofs for easy and excellent safari viewing. All passengers will have a dedicated window seat. Your professional English speaking and courteous driver/guide will be at your disposal for questions or translations.
For fly-in Tours/safaris / Private Charter flights: a combination of light aircraft and small plane Charters can fly you to all National Parks in Uganda Such as;
- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Kisoro and Kihihi Airstrip) for your Gorilla Trekking Safari.
- Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya and Kasese Airstrip) to view the Park’s Big Five Game Safari.
- Murchison Falls National Park (Pakuba and Chobe Airstrip ) to view the Park’s Big Five Game Safari and the Murchison Falls.

- Kidepo National Park. These Flights decrease the miles on the ground needed to reach remote destinations. This is also Combined with the use of closed 4×4 Wheel Drive Vehicles with pop-top roofs that pick you up from the Airfields since they are located far away from the National Parks and Lodges that are usually in remote areas and this may involve some travelling on the main tarmac or dirt roads to reach the final destinations.
