This 3 Day Chimpanzee trekking Safari tour takes you to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for Chimpanzee Trekking. It is an Amazing and rewarding Experience to trek Chimpanzees and an opportunity for you to Explore the Jungles, swamps as well as the grassland around the Forest There are 2 Times for trekking opportunities per day that is Morning and Afternoon. You are allowed to stay with the Chimpanzees for a maximum of one hour after locating them. Kibale Forest National Park is approximately 320 Kilometers from Kampala. The Park is situated 26 kilometers southwest of the town of Fort Portal and about an one hour’s drive from Kasese town. Kibale National Park is a haven to about 13 different species of primates. Among them are chimpanzees, Red-tailed Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Baboons and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, the Rare L’hoest Monkey and Bush Babies.)

Kibale forest National Park is very beautiful and boosts most of the tropical Rain forests in the whole of Uganda offering some excellent opportunities for primate Watching safaris and bird watching.Kibale National Park forest is a home to leopards, bush pigs, elephants, butterflies among other. While on this Chimpanzee safari you will also visit Bigodi swamp sanctuary for a nature walk through the chimpanzee forest, communities walk and cultural heritage.


DAY 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

Pick up from your hotel early morning by our safari guide and drive to Kibale Forest National Park, Enjoying the scenic beauty all the way to the park. You will reach late in the afternoon to go visit the crater lakes regions near Ndali and later dine and be entertained in some of the cultural dances of the country side. Dinner and overnight at

DAY 2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Bigodi walk

Up early report to the ranger station at about 6:00am to start tracking chimpanzees in the forest and this will enable you view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bush babies and many more. You will move with a guide who will make your walk informative and productive making it interesting. He will provide information on both flora and fauna. Have lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a walk to Bigodi Swamp Known as a bird watching sanctuary for plenty of birds and rare fauna and flora.  Alternatively enjoy your whole day doing a chimpanzee habituation, take unforgettable photos, videos. After being filled with this extraordinary experience return to lodge for your Dinner and overnight as above.    Meal Plan: FB

DAY 3: A visit to Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru Caves and Transfer back to Kampala

Early morning breakfast, we drive to Nyakasura for an excursion at the “Mabere ga Nyinamwiru” caves and “Lake Saka crater” walk. Small waterfalls are seen on the nature walk through the mythological caves. The legends of the caves are more impressive than the caves itself which holds many stalactites. Afterwards the guide can take you to the top of the Lake Saka crater, which has a beautiful view over the Fort Portal plateau and Rwenzori Mountains. After the excursion drive back to Kampala with your lunch enroute and on arrival transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight or transfer to Entebbe Airport for your outbound flight.
