This 1 day Gorilla trekking in Rwanda gives you a chance to Track Gorillas in a day in their natural habitat in the Volcanoes National Park. However for this to be possible, you will have spent the Night in Kigali, Rwanda and get up early to start your travel to the gorillas home for a chance to see these gentle creatures on your 1 day Gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The Normal gorilla trekking starts at 8.30 am and the trek can last from 4 – 6 hours. However upon request you may be included on the Susa Gorilla family so as you can trek and find the gorillas within a short period of time so as to be able to enjoy a rewarding experience and later return to Kigali or catch up with your flight. Also Note that gorilla permits in Rwanda cost US$ 1500 each for the lifetime experience of close encounters with the Gorillas within a day which may be looked at as too expensive, but it is all worth the breathtaking moment once you come cross these gentle Giants the mountain gorillas.
At around 4:00 am, our driver guide from MuAfrika Adventures will pick you up from your hotel (You must have slept in Kigali City) and transfer by road to Musanze. It’s a 2hours long drive from Kigali to the Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, Musanze province a home to the endangered Mountain gorillas. You will get to have a cup of coffee at one of the local restaurants around. At around 7.30 am, we will move to the park headquarters in Kinigi Village for a briefing by the Park ranger about the rules and regulations for Gorilla tracking before you head off to the jungle. The trek in Volcanoes National Park to search for the Gorillas can last from an hour to six hours depending on the gorilla movement, however for your case since you have just one day for your trek and travel, we will recommend the nearby family which is easy to trek though the trek is strenuous but much rewarding at the end. You will be given an hour with the gorilla on finding them and take as many pictures as possible. Later return to head park headquarters and drive back to Kigali City or to the airport for your flight with an enroute lunch along the way in ones of the local restaurants.
